Running muscle fibers, 2022

Pen on paper 7 in x 10 in Look closely and you can see a pair of legs woven within the muscle fibers. This pen drawing was inspired by patients with muscular dystrophy. Although faced with many challenges, people with muscular dystrophy radiate positivity and are determined to live fulfilling lives.

Pen on paper, 9 in x 12 in This pen drawing examines the intricate wood-like pattern of collagen fibers which form our connective tissue. Dense connective tissue, what forms ligaments and tendons, resembles the longitudinal cells that create the grain of wood.
