When viewing skin fibroblast cells under the microscope I was inspired by their synchronicity and flowing pattern. The term “cell culture” is used in research labs to describe the practice of growing and maintaining cell lines from various species and tissue types. Great care and precision is necessary to maintain a cell line and some cells are more picky than others. Cells are grown either suspended or adhered to the bottom of a dish or flask in a solution containing nutrients.
